On the second day of the 2021 League of Legends Champions Korea Spring Split, both matches went three games as Nongshim RedForce defeated Liiv SANDBOX, and DRX defeated Afreeca Freecs to collect their first wins of the season.
In the first match, Nongshim RedForce and Liiv SANDBOX traded a blow each. Seo "deokdam" Dae-gil's Aphelios blew the game open for Nongshim RedForce by scaling early. Liiv SANDBOX responded in the second game and focused on the bot lane. Yoo "FATE" Soo-hyeok's Zoe took lane priority and roamed around to return tie the match.
The third game was a nailbiter. Park "Summit" Woo-tae's Jayce picked up an early solo kill and gained two more kill in the following dragon fight. Through the big lead in top lane, Liiv SANDBOX went far ahead. However, Nongshim RedForce picked up an ace in a perfectly executed teamfight. At the fifth dragon fight, Nongshim RedForce took another big teamfight win and finally took down Liiv SANDBOX's Nexus.
Afreeca Freecs had a good start in the first game with the synergy of Camille and Twisted Fate, but their snowball came to a complete stop after one overextension. DRX was patient while they were behind and through Hong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeon's Graves who scaled well, they turned the game around for the win.
In the second game, DRX picked Vayne into their bot lane, but this was a big mistake. Afreeca Freecs was all over the bot lane to keep Vayne from scaling. It wasn't much trouble for them to take the win.
The last game was much closer than the previous games. The first dragon was alive until after 15 minutes. Afreeca Freecs started to get ahead by benefiting through skirmishes, but DRX turned the game around through teamfights. Afterward, DRX used their priority to secure their lead. After cutting off Kim "Kiin" Gi-in's Aatrox, DRX went in to finish the game.
