Fuser is the newest musical innovation by Harmonix, the developers behind genre-defining rhythm and music games like Rock Band, Guitar Hero and Frequency. However, Fuser is unlike these games in one big way -- there are no pre-set tracks to complete or musical notes to hit with expert timing.
Instead, Fuser is a game about creating music and expressing individual style as if the player was a real DJ performing live. Often described as both a musical toy and a video game, we wanted to see how an experienced rhythm game player experiences Fuser for the first time.
Melissa is an artist (melissapaintsthings.com) and life-long gamer who specializes in Harmonix titles and expert difficulty rhythm games. We let her play Fuser for 3 days and documented the journey. The result? Watch the video above and let us know what you think in the comments below!
