On Nov. 29th, Team Dynamics announced that they have signed with the support player from Gen.G, Kim “Kellin” Hyung-gyu, on a 1-year contract.
Kellin started his professional career in November of 2018, with Jin Air Greenwings. In 2020, he was a part of Gen.G, occasionally subbing in for Kim “Life” Jung-min. Although he did play a couple of sets in the Spring split, he remained on the bench for most of the Summer.
However, with DYN, it’s highly likely that he will be the starting support for the team. According to inside sources, they say that he’s a balanced support player, and although he’s forgotten quite a bit of what it feels like to play on stage, they expect Kellin to be a top tier support over time and gaining experience.
This news of Kellin is DYN’s first player acquisition announcement that they’ve made during this off-season. With the empty positions yet to be announced for their mid and jungle position, the attention now turns to how they will fill their vacancies.
