MAD Lions had an incredible first season in the LEC after rebranding from Splyce in 2020. They signed a roster full of rookies and made it to Worlds. Unfortunately, they ended their year on a sour note, failing to make it through the Play-In Stage, falling to SuperMassive in a 2-3 best of five. After returning to Europe, coach Peter Dun announced his departure, and rumors of other player moves began to surface.
Just after the turn of the free agency period, sources close to Inven Global confirmed a final 2021 MAD Lions roster, replacing the top side of their map with two new rising stars. Here is the unofficial 2021 MAD Lions roster.

According to our sources, MAD is replacing top laner Andrei "Orome" Popa with Turkish top laner, İrfan "Armut" Tükek, and jungler Zhiqiang "Shad0w" Zhao with Javier "Elyoya" Prades. The other members will remain the same. Both players were rumored to be signed to MAD Lions shortly into the off-season after they returned from Worlds, but roster signings can not be finalized until after the free agency. Armut was the top laner for SuperMassive, and knocked MAD Lions out of Worlds. Elyoya was the jungler for the Movistar Riders in EU Masters.
