The San Francisco Shock did the unthinkable and became back-to-back Overwatch League champions last weekend. They defeated the Seoul Dynasty to capture their second championship in a six-game set. Shock players like Matthew "super" DeLisi, Nam-joo "Striker" Kwon, and Grant "moth" Espe were integral to the Shock's success this season and in the Grand Finals.
The offseason, however, is a new challenge for the Shock.
They need to figure out the meta leading up to the next season, sign or keep players that are going to be a great fit for the team, and players are going to leave the team for free agency. One of those players that is leaving for free agency is moth. moth announced via Twitter that he is leaving the Shock to explore free agency for the next OWL season.
Moth has been with the Shock from its lows in the inaugural season to its highs winning championships for the past two seasons. Although moth has a quiet demeanor, he has a huge presence on stage, making clutch plays in Rialto to giving constant support to his fellow teammates.
As for what team he can fit in, there are numerous teams that could use his service from the Los Angeles Gladiators, Boston Uprising, to the Houston Outlaws. Whatever team he signs with, they will greatly improve from moth's playmaking and game IQ.
