Immortals has announced that it is transferring two players off of its VALORANT roster. Peter "Asuna" Mazuryk and Quan "dicey" Tran have been transferred to 100 Thieves, the latter of whom has now compelted its rebuilt VALORANT roster around captain Spencer "Hiko" Martin.
The full announcement via the IMT Twitter account reads as follows: "Today we're announcing the transfer of Asuna and dicey to 100 Thieves. When we started this project for VALORANT, we committed to doing things differently, embedding ourselves in the scene and focusing on maximizing our ability to scout and develop talent. We were able to construct a roster that performed above expectations, and teams have taken note.
We are excited to grow talent within our organization and see them advance in their career, even if it is not under the IMT banner. We believe in our system and scouting and we're excited for what's to come both for us and the players."
Immortals announced its VALORANT squad in May 2020 by signing Amgalan “Genghsta” Nemekhbayar, Yannick “KOLER” Blanchette, Joseph “Bjor” Bjorklund, and Noah "jcStani" Smith. Asuna later joined in early June to round out the starting five.
Bjor left the team in mid-August following IMT's top 3 finish at the FaZe Clan Invitational and was promptly replaced by dicey. With dicey, Asuna, Genghsta, KOLER, and jcStani led by Head Coach Jordan "Gunba" Graham, IMT placed 5th/6th after being eliminated by Team Envy 2-0 at Pop Flash one month ago.
Asuna seems pleased to round out 100 Thieves roster according to his retweet of the official 100 Thieves announcement, and dicey echoed the sentiment, stating via his Twitter that "Red and Black just hits" in reference to his new teams' colors. Immortals has not announced how they will be handling filling empty spots on its VALORANT roster at this time.
