Legends of Runeterra Patch 1.11 is coming. The second major balance patch after Call of the Mountain brings changes to 11 cards, including nerfs to some of the more problematic ones in the current meta.
Aurelion Sol has been the most popular Call of the Mountain champion in the new meta. The dragon has become a centerpiece to several top-performing deks, including the Trundle/Sol Ramp, the Lux/Sol Control, and the Leona/Sol Midrange. The champion favors slow decks with big units, but in Patch 1.11, it will be more difficult to level him up.
Together with Aurelion Sol, one of his celestial cards, Cosmic Inspiration, is also getting nerfed by no longer refilling spell mana.
Level up: Round End: Your allies have 20+ total power → Round End: Your allies have 25+ total Power
Old text: If you Behold a Celestial card, grant allies everywhere +2|+2. Refill your spell mana. → New text: If you Behold a Celestial card, grant allies everywhere +2|+2.
Speaking of problematic cards, Hush has been widely regarded as a major offender. The card is incredibly versatile and can be very punishing, as for 6 mana, it can silence two targets on Burst speed. Now, the initial Hush cast will remain at 3-mana, but the Fleeting copy of it will cost 1 more.
Old text: Silence a unit this round. Create a Fleeting [Hush] in hand. → New text: Silence a unit this round. Create a Fleeting [Hush] in hand that costs 1 more.
The Pirates aggro and midrange decks are getting two nerfs: one to Petty Officer, whose health is being reduced from 2 to 1; and Jack the Winner, whose health is also reduced from 6 to 5. This should tone down both the faster Pirates Aggro and the slower TF/GP Midrange. Petty Officer's nerf should also have some balancing effect to the meta king that is Swain/TF Midrange as well, though to a lesser extent.
Health: 2 → 1
Health: 6 → 5
Six more cards have also been changed with Patch 1.11. One of the bigger is Radiant Guardian's reduction of power from 5 to 4, which should balance out the many Lux decks it's used it. But the remaining cards have all received buffs. The somewhat forgotten Inspiring Mentor has his stats switched to the more aggressive 2|1. Pix is getting a health buff, Bastion is way more powerful, and Grandfather Rumul now buffs two allies.
Power: 5 → 4
Power: 1 → 2
Health: 2 → 1
Health: 1 → 2
Old text: Give an ally Spellshield this round. → New text: Grant an ally +1+1 and Spellshield.
Play: Grant an ally +0|+4 → Grant 2 allies +0|+4
Health: 1 → 2
