Ninjas in Pyjamas is reportedly going for major changes to their VALORANT roster, multiple sources indicate. Accourding to journalist Arran "Halo" Brown, NiP is set to benching Damien "HyP" Souville and Enzo "Faeroth" Mestari and is aiming to sign former Bonk player Saif "Sayf" Jibraeel. The report was confirmed by 1PV journalist Guillaume "neL" Rathier, whose report also adds that NiP is testing Egor "chiwawa" Stepanyuk (currently a member of Entropiq) as its potential fifth.
This would be NiP's third major roster change since it founded its VALORANT roster in April. Ninjas in Pyjamas ventured in VALORANT by having its Paladins players switch games, but that roster mostly underperformed, only winning a couple of minor cups.
In June, Ninjas in Pyjamas dissolved the Paladins experiment and the all the players left, replaced eventually by former CS:GO and Overwatch players, which made NiP's current roster. But while the organization started putting up better results and getting invited to Ignition Series tournaments, it failed to make even a single grand finals appearance.
NiP's most recent showing was a disastrous ousting from the BLAST Twitch Invitational. NiP finished last in the four-team event, failing to win even a single map and being one-sidedly beaten by G2 Esports and Team Liquid every step of the way.
If NiP confirm Halo's and neL's reports, its VALORANT roster will be:
- Saif "Sayf" Jibraeel
- Emir "rhyme" Muminovic
- Charles "CREA" Beauvois
- Niels "luckeRRR" Jasiek
- Egor "chiwawa" Stepanyuk
- Emil "eMIL" Sandgren (coach)
