North American organization Renegades has signed Alexander "retrQ" Kadan to its VALORANT roster ahead of the $10,000 Pulse Series tournament, the org confirmed Thursday. This officially completes Renegades' VALORANT roster, after the team parted ways with James "Nurfed" McFadden in August and left the team down to four members.
RetrQ is no stranger to playing with Renegades, standing-in for them at the Nerd Street Gamers Monthly August and the Pittsburgh Knights Invitational Gauntlet Series. Individually, retrQ has had quite a bit of success with his Team Underrated, winning half a dozen weekly and lower-tier tournaments, and placing second at the Pittsburgh Knights Valorant Rumble.
Renegades has also added Justin "coachJ" Anazalone as coach.
The roster will make its debut at Pulse Series — a tournament that starts today, September 10, and collects the majority of North America's tier 2 VALORANT scene. Renegades share a group with Mamba Mode Gaming, Noble, Pretty Boyz, and Up For Sale, and will need to make top 2 to make it to playoffs.
