The 2020 League of Legends European Championship Summer Split took a week off during week 5 of the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Summer Split, but the EU teams came out in full force last week and secured every top scoring position in Inven Global's Esports One Fantasy League of Legends league. SK Gaming was specifically dominant, securing top scoring fantasy points in five of the six draft positions.
SK Gaming went 2-0 in week 5 of the LEC Summer Split, and its victories against Team Vitality and FC Schalke 04 were considerably lengthy. SK's win over VIT took 36 minutes and 25 seconds, and S04's nexus didn't fall until the end of a 45 minute, 20 second slugfest. SK Gaming AD Carry Juš "Crownshot" Marušič scored the most fantasy points of any player with 75.75 points, and SK Gaming had the most fantasy points of any team with a score of 63.
It was a banner week for SK Gaming as a whole in terms of fantasy points. Top Laner Janik "Jenax" Bartels, Jungler Kim "Trick" Gang-yun, and Support Dino "LIMIT" Tot all scored the most points in their respective positions. The only player who managed to score in the top of his position not on the SK Gaming roster was Rogue Mid Laner Emil "Larssen" Larsson. Larssen spent the entire week deathless in Rogue's 2-0 against FC Schalke 04 and Fnatic.
Week 7 of fantasy League of Legends will consist of week 7 of the LCS Summer Split, but week 6 of the LEC Summer Split due to the mid-summer break that took place in Europe.
The LEC standings are in flux after G2 Esports' mid-summer slump, with SK Gaming in a 3-way tie for 3rd at 6-5 with Fnatic and Origen. Rogue is tied with MAD Lions for 1st place in the LEC with a 9-2 record. Week 5 of the LEC also featured on-air talent and teams playing in the studio in Berlin without an audience, which should continue for at least the remainder of the Summer Split.
