The two most important questions when building your E1 Fantasy Lineup: Who do I pick? Who do I not pick? Well we heard you mumbling these questions to yourself and are giving you some help. Who to avoid is just as important as to who you flock towards as you need to make sure your whole lineup is set to pop-off, from Top to Team. We are giving you one player/team from each position to target and another one to run as far away from as you possibly can. Choose wisely!
PICK: Jung "Impact" Eon-yeong — Team Liquid — $270,000 (vs Evil Geniuses & 100 Thieves)
It is not a coincidence that TL’s 5-game win streak has lined up with the best 5-game stretch of Impact’s year. After Week 3, Impact was the only starting Top in the LCS to have a Kill Participation under 50%. His KP has been over 75% in 3 of his 4 since Week 3 and he is averaging 3 Kills a game in that stretch. We desperately need some more strong options up Top, and Impact is helping to fill the void.
AVOID: Martin "Wunder" Hansen — G2 Esports — $280,000 (vs MAD Lions & Origen)
Wunder has his work cut out for him this week as he goes against the 2 best opposing Top Laners in the LEC.
PICK: Robert "Blaber" Huang — Cloud9 — $350,000 (vs Evil Geniuses & FlyQuest)
I don’t have a deep analysis on this as it is mainly about storyline rather than stat-driven…. But I expect if you embarrass the reigning MVP as 100 & TSM did, he will come back more angry and motivated than ever the next week.
AVOID: Lucas "Santorin" Larsen — FlyQuest — $290,000 (vs TSM & Cloud9)
Everybody needs to pump the breaks on the sweetheart of Summer ahead of a battle with two teams that are very angry, motivated, and talented.
PICK: Nicolaj "Jensen" Jensen — Team Liquid — $310,000 (vs Evil Geniuses & 100 Thieves)
Want consistency? Last 5 games: 5 TL wins, 5 games between 20-26 Fantasy points for Jensen. He won’t lead the position but do not undervalue the importance of a guaranteed 40+ during a week. EG & 100 Thieves both have been erratic all season, but each team’s Mid Laner is Top 3 in Deaths at the position. TL has made it clear that they are the 2nd best team in the LCS, and these two non-winning squads can’t refute that.
AVOID: Yasin "Nisqy" Dinçer — Cloud9 — $360,000 (vs Evil Geniuses & FlyQuest)
I am still waiting for the Kills to start coming in for Nisqy… Season is half over, and although he is #1 among LCS Mids in Assists, his #7 rank in Kills hurts his value.
PICK: Trevor "Stixxay" Hayes — CLG — $330,000 (vs Dignitas & Immortals)
With all the madness that has been happening in the LCS, CLG has been surprisingly straight forward. They win every game they are supposed to win, last weekend’s win over EG being the only surprise. And if CLG is winning, you want to bet on Stixxay as he averaged 34.7 fantasy points in wins. He is 1st in LCS in Kill Participation at the position, 2nd to only Doublelift in Kills, and 2nd to only Zven in Assists. Start throwing some respect on Stixxay’s name.
AVOID: Martin "Rekkles" Larsson — Fnatic — $310,000 (vs Vitality & Misfits)
Did Rekkles use his week off to practice carry champs? Or to perfect his Soraka play…? Either way, I need to see a week of vintage Rekkles before picking him.
PICK: Andy "Smoothie" Ta — CLG — $150,000 (vs Dignitas & Immortals)
With all those impressive stats above for Stixxay, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Smoothie is Top 3 among LCS Supports in Assists and Kill Participation. He has yet to score less than 17 points in a Win, and he has two great opportunities to continue that streak this weekend.
AVOID: Tristan "Zeyzal" Stidam — Evil Geniuses — $120,000 (vs Taem Liquid & Cloud9)
Bang scored 70 last week, and Zeyzal barely cracked 10. That sums up his current involvement and role right now.
PICK: Golden Guardians — $310,000 (vs Immortals & Dignitas)
My perfect team would go 2-0 and grab as many Dragons as possible (the most recurring source of points for a Team). Well, nobody plays around the Dragon better than Golden Guardians (other than C9, they are too good). C9 and GG lead the LCS in Dragon % and are the only two teams to average over 3 Dragons per game. Besides being bottom two in the LCS standings, GG's opponents are also in the bottom four of both those Dragons stats.
AVOID: G2 Esports — $260,000 (vs MAD Lions & Origen)
Are you going to just put blind faith into G2 being back? If you are right, this will be the cheapest this team will ever cost.
