On Tuesday, July 14, Blizzard announced Hearthstone's newest expansion: Scholomance Academy. As the popular card game goes back to school, it carries in its backpack lots of new mechanics, including dual-class cards and the new Spellburst mechanic.
Despite that, from all 14 cards shown so far, the most interesting one was neither a dual-class card, nor one with the new keyword. Instead, it was Transfer Student — an epic-rarity 2/2 minion for 2 mana, which has different effects based on the game board you're playing on.
Now, there are 25 different game boards in Hearthstone right now. 10 of those, including the upcoming Scholomance board, are available in Standard. This means that even when playing Standard, there are near dozen variations of Transfer Student.
That said, it is unlikely for Transfer Student to become a top tier meta card. Unless all of its effects turn out to be a great value, there's too much volatility associated with the card. It doesn't feel that flashy for streamers' wacky decks either, but who knows — maybe the next batch of Scholomance cards unlocks some sweet synergies with Transfer Student.

| Kobolds | Battlecry: Recruit a minion that costs (2) or less. |
| Witchwood | Echo, Rush |
| Boomsday | Taunt. If you have 10 Mana Crystals, gain +5/+5. |
| Rastakhan | Rush, Overkill: Draw a card. |

Quite an interesting game. Now full of thought, play or prepare for the exam. It's just a lot of materials that need to be studied before the exam.
