The League of Legends European Championship (LEC) confirmed Friday that production for week 4 games will happen remotely from home. According to the statement, one of the on-air talents has been in contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.

[UPDATED 7/6] Talent team member Trevor "Quickshot" Henry has shared on his Twitter account that he, along with his wife, have tested negative for COVID-19.  It is still unknown if the broadcast will fully return to the studio.

Just one night prior to the first day of week 4, the cast member had warned Riot Games that they had been exposed to someone who had tested positive for COVID-19, prior to the week 3 games. As of right now, the team member has not exhibited symptoms linked to the coronavirus.

The league has decided that, for the safety and well-being of the rest of the talent team, they will be casting from home this week. They will move on with production depending on the outcome of the test results.

LEC Week 4, which starts today, July 3, features several high-profile matches, including Rogue versus Orige and Misfits versus G2 Esports on Friday, and MAD versus Misfits on Saturday. The top half of the standings is in a four-way 4-3 tiebreaker for third place, while MAD Lions lead the boards with 6-1, followed by Rogue in second at 5-2.
