On the afternoon of Wednesday, May 13th, FlyQuest released their Academy Support, Juan "JayJ" Guibert, who had played with the org in both their Academy and LCS squads over the past two and a half years. After a 7-11 finish to this Spring Split, he and the org have parted ways.
JayJ is one of the few collegiate players to become an LCS starter, after playing for the University of Toronto for two years before joining FlyQuest with his Toronto coach, Gabriel "Invert" Zoltan-Johan, at the end of 2017. JayJ announced that he's looking for positions either playing or coaching for the upcoming split, and if he doesn't secure one, he will grind solo-queue and potentially bootcamp in Korea if it becomes safe to do so in order to continue his career as an esports player.
FlyQuest has not yet announced a replacement for the team, but Inven Global will update upon retrieval of further information.
