Excel Esports announced a while ago that they'd be making roster adjustments. Both Mid Laner Son "Mickey" Young-min and Top Laner Ki "Expect" Dae-han were let go off after the team finished seventh in the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) Spring Split this year. According to a report by ESPN, their replacements have been found.
The British esports organization is reportedly signing Felix "Kryze" Hellström, currently Top Laner for Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition, the sister organization of Unicorns of Love. Meanwhile, they're looking closer to home to fill their Mid Lane position. According to the same report, Joran "Special" Scheffer will be promoted from academy team BT Excel to the main roster. The Dutchman joined the organization in December 2018, but will finally fulfill a fulltime position on the main stage.
Earlier today Excel Esports posted a teaser on their Twitter account, suggesting that the changes to their roster will be announced coming Friday, on May 1st.
Many teams are expected to make adjustments to their roster during the offseason, before the LEC's Summer Split commences on June 12. For the latest news on League of Legends esports, head over to our League of Legends section.
