Irvine, California – April 2, 2020 – Joycity announces that it will release three characters with skill customization system for 3on3 FreeStyle for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

In the update, new characters Saru, Ginger and Big Joe will be added. They were fan favorites in the original FreeStyle Street Basketball which started it all. This also marks the first time skill customizable characters will appear in 3on3 FreeStyle.

Each character has 7 active skills and 2 passive skills in 3on3 FreeStyle. For the new characters in the update, a player can freely select 2 active skills to customize gameplay. This new system allows users to play more dynamically than a fixed skill system.

Saru will be introduced first who is a Small Forward with aggressive skills. During post up, Saru can use the ‘Turn Around Spin’ move to distract opponents and post up big numbers with Double Clutch Dunk. Ginger and Big Joe will be released on March 25th and April 1st respectively. More information will be revealed on the official website in coming days.

“In the past, the skill system was a character-exclusive. With the addition of the skill customization system, it’ll provide a variety of gameplay from the same character. I hope that users will feel the fun of finding the right character for themselves.” says Keong Tae Kim, the director of 3on3 FreeStyle.

With the release of the new characters, a brand new court 'Big Flow' will also be added along with new background music celebrating the update. Last but not least, when players play a 3v3 match, they will also receive a ‘Rail Ticket’ token that can also be earned by completing various daily and weekly missions. Rail Tickets can be redeemed for cool prizes from the Bonus Shop.
