Riot Games has revealed the abilities of yet another playable character coming to VALORANT, the studio's upcoming tactical first-person shooter. This time the spotlight is on Jett, a quick assassin with high mobility and deadly knives in her arsenal.
Jett was one of the first agents whose gameplay was shared with the world. Back when Riot Games first announced VALORANT, Jett's abilities were part of the gameplay teasers the developers were willing to share. Now that we have a more complete idea of the character, let's go over Jett's kit.
- Cloudburst. Jett's first ability is essentially a smoke bomb. Cloudburst explodes on impact, creating a zone that blocks vision for enemies as well as allies. By holding down the ability button, Jett can lightly bend the trajectory of Cloudburst.
- Updraft. With Updraft, Jett launches herself into the sky after a brief delay. The hop allows her to reach high ground and look over obstacles to scout for enemies.
- Tailwind. Tailwind is Jett's second movement ability. When used, Jett dashes a short distance into the direction she's moving.
- Blade Storm. When using her ultimate ability, Jett puts away the gun she's wielding and pulls out a set of knives. The knives can be thrown over a long distance, dealing moderate damage at a body shot but instantly killing the opponent with a headshot. If she kills an enemy with her ultimate ability, all her knives are restored and can be used again. When her ultimate is active, a right-click throws all remaining knives at the same time in a short-range burst.
Of the VALORANT agents, Jett appears to be the assassin on the roster. She's about as close to a pop culture ninja as you can get with her smoke bombs, throwing knives and agility. For an overview of all the VALORANT characters revealed so far, head over to our dedicated VALORANT section.
