GINX eSports TV has launched on Partner's 4GTV app in Israel. GINX eSports TV will also be available on Partner's TV service, expected to launch within the coming months.

Michiel Bakker, CEO of GINX eSports TV, commented: “We are delighted that Partner’s 4G TV App will be the first Israeli platform to launch  GINX eSports TV.   We aim to provide Israel’s fast growing gaming community with an exciting mix of live eSports tournament coverage from the biggest and best events across the globe as well as a host of eSports entertainment formats, news and behind-the-scenes documentaries.  We are looking forward to working with Partner to add local Israeli eSports content to our channel.”

Partner said: "The Israeli gaming community includes hundreds of thousands of people between the ages of 12 to 40, yet eSports TV content in Israel, prior to the launch of GINX, was very limited. Following the great success of the first season of "Legends of Gaming Israel", the local version of the international online-reality format, produced last summer by Partner and Endemol-Shine Israel, we've decided to take eSports in Israel a big step forward, and bring Ginx to our 4GTV and Partner TV platforms. We thank GINX eSports TV and its London-based team, for teaming with us, as we launch the channel's content exclusively on Partner's mobile 4GTV app."

Tal "Fly" Aizik, the world-class Israeli Dota 2 player for professional team OG, commented on the launch: “I'm very excited that eSports is making its way into Israeli mainstream media. Throughout my career, I've represented Israel but there's just not enough pro players from my country for it to matter. I’m glad that GINX eSports TV are able to help shine some light on it."

The eSports category is growing rapidly, with hundreds of millions of fans who watch popular online gamers around the world via services as Twitch and YouTube Gaming. According to Ericsson ConsumerLab that recently published and examines the consumption of media and content worldwide, 40% of young adults and 20% of the young women up to age 19 said that they watch eSports content.

Partner's TV service will be based on Android TV, an operating system open to OTT services, applications, video, music, games and other content, alongside Partner TV's included channels and VOD.
