Auguste "Semmler" Massonnat is leaving the Overwatch League. The caster, who joined Blizzard's premiere Overwatch competition to narrate its matches from Season 1, announced on Twitter that he'd no longer return to full-time casting for the shooter in 2020.

Semmler, who joined the Overwatch League after building his legacy in Counter-Strike, is the fourth caster to leave the league. Earlier Chris Puckett, Erik "DoA" Lonnquist and Christopher "MonteCristo" Mykles announced that they wouldn't return to the OWL for a third season, though DoA hinted that he might appear at a couple of the homestand events. Semmler's exact reason for leaving the OWL is unknown. When MonteCristo parted ways with the Overwatch League, he explained that the strongly reduced amount of input he and other talent had on the production of the league caused the separation, so it's possible Semmler left for similar reasons.

Though he hasn't made any official announcements yet, it's highly likely Semmler will return to cast in the CS:GO scene. During the Overwatch League's offseason he already had made a few reappearances on CS:GO broadcasts, which were met with warm enthusiasm from the Global Offensive scene. Valve's FPS has a stacked esports year in front of it, so it can use all the top tier talent it can get.
