Reigning world champions FunPlus Phoenix have announced an expansion to their coaching staff, just days before the LPL's Spring Split is kicking off. Chen "REFRA1N" Kuan-Ting, former head coach of J Team, is making the jump to the Chinese powerhouse.

The Taiwanese, who, earlier in his career, jungled for teams such as Flash Wolves, Taipei Assassins and the team he would eventually coach, J Team, is joining FPX's coaching staff comprised of WarHorse and Despa1r. REFRA1N's most notable success as coach for J Team was achieved just last year, when he led the team towards the 2019 World Championship. There, in the group stage, J Team surprised everyone by defeating FunPlus Phoenix in the first round of the Group Stage.
