The 2019 LoL KeSPA Cup is heading to Ulsan. The tournament, which commenced on December 23rd (KST) featured pros and amateurs in the Korean League of Legend scene with the 10 LCK teams, 8 Challengers Korea teams, and 2 KeG teams. It took place in the Nexon Arena located in Seoul. Now, the stage will move to Ulsan.
The fights were fierce from the first round. Brion Blade defeated APK Prince, one of the promoted teams to the LCK, and Spear Gaming defeated Jin Air Green Wings who was just relegated to Challengers Korea. There were also many transitions of players during the stove league including players that returned from a foreign league such as Jin “Mystic” Seong-jun, Kang “GorillA” Beom-hyeon, Park “Untara” Ui-jin, etc.
With the new year coming, only the two semifinal matches and grand final remain. The teams that reached the top 4 are SANDBOX Gaming, T1, Afreeca Freecs, and DragonX. All matches will be in a Bo5 format. On the 3rd will be the match between SANDBOX Gaming and T1, on the 4th will be Afreeca Freecs vs DragonX. The grand finals will be held on the 5th at 3 PM.
