Back in October, as part of League of Legends' 10-year anniversary stream, Riot Games announced that their auto-chess title, Teamfight Tactics (TFT), would be coming to mobile devices in "early 2020." In the two months since the announcement, little to no information has been shared as to when that may be or if plans had changed for whatever reason.
On Sunday afternoon, Santa Clause provided players with an update.
Lead Designer of Teamfight Tactics, Stephen "Mortdog" Mortimer, held a Christmas stream on his personal Twitch channel where he dressed up as Saint Nick and played games with viewers and held a giveaway. At one point during the stream, Mortimer was asked when TFT was coming to mobile as players have been gitty for its' release since it was announced months ago. Mortimer assured fans that it will go live "before May 31" in 2020.
No further details were shared on stream (even as the community tried to get more out of him). But at least development is going according to plan as the app will be available for both Apple and Android devices.
