The HERO ESPORTS Asian Champions League announced today that six direct World Cup berths will be awarded through its upcoming Teamfight Tactics tournament. The event, featuring a new 4v4 team battle format, kicks off on April 15 and runs through May 18 with a total prize pool of $150,000.
Teams of four will compete in a multi-stage tournament designed to test strategy and teamwork. Registration opens March 23 and closes March 31. Participants will be grouped into two regions — APAC and CN — based on performance metrics accumulated from the TFT Open, Tactician’s Crown and Regional Finals over the past three seasons. In each region, the top eight teams from APAC and the top seven from CN will vie for advancement in the Regional Qualifiers.
Online competitions will determine which teams progress to the next stage. The APAC Qualifier runs from April 15 to 18, while the CN Qualifier is scheduled for April 24 to 27. From these rounds, four teams per region will advance to the Asian Challenge. The highest-ranking three teams in each region will secure spots in the Esports World Cup, with teams placing fourth and fifth given another opportunity through a Last Chance Qualifier.
The Asian Challenge, set for May 8 to 11, will narrow the field further as eight teams battle for three final spots. The tournament will culminate with the ACL Grand Finals in Shanghai on May 17 and 18. A best-of-three elimination match on May 17 will decide the third-place team, while a best-of-five match on May 18 will crown the champion and determine the World Cup runner-up.
